Warriors in the North Healing Through Art
October 6, 2021 through March 6 2022
3rd Floor Atrium and Halls

Trauma experts have explored the role that creative arts can play in the healing and recovery process of veterans and military service members suffering from post-traumatic stress or traumatic brain injury. Warriors in the North highlights this creative work in the Red River Valley with an art exhibition directed by HCSCC and the Fargo VA Health Care System and produced by local veterans, including portraits from Dr. Ken Andersen, paintings by a local combat veteran, and masks, music, and writing projects depicting experiences of trauma and recovery.

Sponsors
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Lake Region Arts Council and the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

This project is supported in part by a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.

This project is also funded by The FM Area Foundation, The Alex Stern Family Foundation, and The Arts Partnership, with support from the Cities of Fargo, Moorhead, and West
