The 25th National Watermedia Exhibition 4th Floor Gallery June 18 through August 4, 2018
In a partnership with the Red River Watercolor Society, we are honored to host the 25th Annual National Watermedia Exhibition, a gorgeous showcase of the full possibility of watercolors by some of the most prolific and talented watercolor artists of today. The featured artists come from both our local community and the U.S. at large in an effort first articulated 25 years ago: to provide a diverse selection of watercolor opportunities to RRWS members and to build a world-class community through education and exhibitions.
The show is juried by Mark Mehaffey, a signature member of the American Watercolor Society and a Dolphin Fellow with the National Watercolor Society. He wrote Creative Watercolor Workshop, published in 2005 and rereleased as Creative Watercolor and Acrylic Workshop in 2013. His work is included in the permanent collections of transparent watercolors throughout North America and China. And in addition to his own painting, he remains a popular juror, workshop instructor, and lecturer.
Join us for the opening reception on Tuesday, June 19, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Hjemkomst Center. RRWS members will discuss their works and Mark Mehaffey will present awards. The reception is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served.
