History On Tap!
Junkyard Brewing Company
1416 1st Ave N, Moorhead

This popular program takes a lighthearted look at some of the seedier stories from our local history. Join HCSCC Programming Director Markus Krueger and the History On Tap regulars at Junkyard Brewery on the first Monday of the month at 6pm (October through April) to see presentations on topics ranging from local moonshiners to stories of the supernatural.

Here’s the current fall schedule:

Moorhead's Saloon Era
Monday, November 1, 2021, 6PM

When North Dakota outlawed alcohol, all the saloons moved to Moorhead. Join Markus for a tour of Moorhead's saloons in the years between 1890 and 1915, when the town was called the "Wickedest City in the World."

Fargo-Moorhead's 1800s Breweries
Monday, December 6, 2021, 6PM

The founding generation of Fargo-Moorhead boasted three breweries in 1889. Where are they? What happened to them? And, most importantly, what was on tap?
