Join NDSU history graduate student Kaci Johnson for a presentation on pioneering aviator Florence “Treetops” Klingensmith. Klingensmith, born in Oakport, Minnesota, became the first woman in North Dakota to receive her pilot’s license. In 1931, she held the world record for inside loops with 1,078, and in 1932, she won the inaugural Amelia Earhart Cup at the National Air Races. After the presentation, enjoy light refreshments and explore the historic home.
